Air Canada Center Arena : Home of Toronto Raptors NBA Team

The air Canada Centre is a multi-purpose arena located on Bay Street in downtown Toronto, Ontario. It is home to the Toronto Raptors of the NBA, the Toronto Maple Leafs of the NHL and the Toronto Rock of the NLL. It was also home to the Toronto Phantoms of the Arena Football League during their brief existence. The arena is popularly called “the ACC” or “the Hangar”.

Owned by Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment Ltd, the arena is 665,000 square feet in size. The ACC is connected to Union Station and the underground pedestrian PATH system, providing easy access to public transportation for fans attending events. There are also 13000 parking spaces within immediate walking distance.

Since its opening, the arena has received more than 25 industry awards that range from Canadian Major Facility of the Year, the U.S. based Facilities & Event Management Magazine's Prime Site Award, the Wine Spectator, VQA Restaurant and the International (Diamond Wine Award) Awards of Excellence, and Tourism Toronto's Jeff Adams Access Award of Excellence for the facilities accessibility.

The seating capacity of the Air Canada Center is 19800 for basketball, 18819 for hockey, 18819 for lacrosse, 19800 for concerts and 5200 for theatre. It remains the only arena in North America to house three of its own exclusive award-winning restaurants – The Platinum Club, Air Canada Club and Hot Stove Club. The restaurants offer a variety of food and beverages that capture Toronto’s multicultural flavor. For fans, the favorite spots are two in-house bars, the Ice Box and Rickard’s Brewhouse.

Within the Air Canada Centre is the 5200-seat Best Buy Theatre, used for theatre concerts, Broadway and family shows and other events. It was formerly called the Sears Theatre and is also called the Theatre at ACC.
