AT&T Center Arena : Home of San Antonio Spurs

It is home to the San Antonio Spurs of the NBA and the San Antonio Rampage of the AHL in the winter-spring, the San Antonio Silver Stars of the WNBA in the summer and the annual San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo held in February. It seats 18500 for basketball, 13000 for hockey and 19000 for concerts or religious gatherings, and contains 50 luxury suites.
Naming rights for the facility were purchased by SBC Communications Inc under a 20-year, $41 million naming rights agreement with the City of San Antonio, the San Antonio Spurs and the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo in July 2000. SBC Center changed its name to AT&T in November 2005 after its purchase of AT&T Corporation. In January 2006, the arena was officially named AT&T Center.
Opened on October 18, 2002, the arena is owned by Bexar County and operated by Spurs Sports and Entertainment. Its construction cost is estimated at $186 million. Tenants include the following:
- State Fair Coliseum (1967-1973)
- Moody Coliseum (1967-1973)
- Tarrant County Coliseum (1970-1971)
- Lubbock Municipal Coliseum (1970-1971)
- HemisFair Arena (1973-1993)
- Alamodome (1993-2002)
- AT&T Center (formerly SBC Center) (2002-present)
