The Bucks started playing professional basketball in 1968 and entered the NBA like many other expansion teams but their success story is very different from the other teams. At the end of their first season, the two teams flipped a coin to determine who would have the number-one pick in the 1969 NBA draft. The Milwaukee Bucks won and chose Lew Alcindor aka Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, one of basketball’s all-time greats. With Kareem playing center and superstar guard Oscar Robinson handling the ball, the Bucks won their first championship title after just 3 years of joining the NBA league.

In the 2006-07 season, the Milwaukee Bucks finished at a depressing last place in the Central Division. The addition of Yi Jainlian, the power forward regarded as the best Chinese prospect since Yao Ming and the recovery of Michael Redd, Charlie Villanueva and Bobby Simmons have made the off season games in the 2007-08 season even more promising.
