The first game of Charlotte Bobcats was played at the Charlotte Coliseum as the new replacement, Charlotte Bobcats Arena, was being constructed. The new arena opened with a Rolling Stones concert shortly before the new NBA season.

The team has played at two arenas, namely:

• Charlotte Coliseum (2004-2005)
• Time Warner Cable Arena (2005-present, known as Charlotte Bobcats Arena 2005-08)

In April 2008, Time Warner Cable agreed to tear up the cable television deal that restricted the Bobcat’s exposure over the first four years in exchange for naming rights.

The time Warner Cable Arena is an entertainment and sports venue located in the Uptown area of Charlotte, North Carolina, USA. It is primarily used as the home court of the Charlotte Bobcats of the NBA. The center-hung Daktronics video screens measure 16 feet by 28 feet making them the largest of any indoor arena. It is owned by the city of Charlotte, but operated by the Bobcats.

In 2005, the arena opened up as the Charlotte Bobcats Arena and was renamed as Time Warner Cable Arena in 2008. This saw printed tickets being sold with the arena’s new name and the game airing on FSN South. Moreover, Time Warner Cable will get a dedicated concourse gallery to showcase its products.

The arena seats 19026 for most NBA games but can be expanded to seat up to 20200 for college basketball games. it is used more than just for sporting events, with musical acts, family productions and many other large entertainment performances such as concerts, circuses and professional wrestling.
